COVID - 19 Update

Hey River City fam,

Concerning the pandemic, we do not have all the answers, but we are paying attention to medical information and praying for wisdom.  Together we will take courage in Christ, practice patience by the Spirit, and consider the "least of these" as we seek to love our neighbors in the midst of uncertainty in our communities.  For we are certain of this... "...nothing can separate us from the love of God, revealed in Jesus" - Rom. 8:38-39.

We will also seek to comply with the local government concerning precaution and safety.  There will be times that our meeting together in person will look different in order to navigate the current state of things, therefore we are looking to ways that we might be creative to stay connected and be praying and worshipping together.  For example we will use texting, email and Zoom as ways we can meet online and stay connected.  We may meet outside or change the indoor environment.  We will update you all as we go...

We want to provide communication and recommendations for you in response to the evolving situation with the Coronavirus.

The virus is a communicable disease—spread through coughing, sneezing, and some human contact. We are advised to practice social distancing and stay away from large crowds as much as possible.  This is the only thing they can determine that helps slow the spread of COVID-19.

  • We are asking if you are ill or show any symptoms of the virus, please consider the health of our greater community and stay at home. However, please stay in contact with our community so we can still look for ways to serve each other.

We will continue to closely monitor the situation and keep you updated with additional information. You can find more information about the Coronavirus at www.cdc.gov/COVID19 & https://health.mesacounty.us/covid19/

Let’s continue to pray, demonstrate wisdom, and trust that we serve a God who is in complete control.

In Christ,

RCC Leadership
