Missionary Residency Program
As a church plant in Grand Junction we seek to gather as a missional family of disciples, grow together in God’s Word, and go out to our community and beyond sharing the joy of Christ. We have been praying for other disciples to come alongside us to make disciples who make disciples. Maybe you are an answer to this prayer! There is a great need of the gospel here in the Grand Valley. We have created a structure that makes it possible for missionary-minded participants to spend time in Grand Junction pointing others to Christ alongside our church family.
Our desire is for you to be challenged in 3 relational ways:
- UP- You will be challenged, strengthened, and stretched personally and spiritually during your time here through purposeful time with the Lord and in His Word.
- IN - You will serve and have fellowship with our church body using your area of spiritual gifting and ability and learn more about missional living and church planting like a missionary.
- OUT - You will spend time sharing Christ by developing meaningful relationships with others through recreation, vocation, and community gatherings.
We offer an 11-week Summer Missionary program (May-August) OR a 1 Year Missionary Residency
It is designed for you to work a job in town for income (full-time or part-time) and will be serving within the church community. We will help arrange a lodging option for the SUMMER program. Participants have the option of covering costs through a combination of fundraising and a local job here in the city. We will do our best to assist in the process of finding employment (however, overall responsibility is on the participant) and we will also assist in searching for housing prior to arrival for the participants (but this is ultimately up to the participants as well).
